A note from Erin
Scott + Tracie,
One of my favorite nights with you was after everyone else had left. It was late, and you told me the whole story: the shot across the bar, the spark, and Tracie knowing that very night Scott was the man she would marry. An objectively wild thing to know before you had even gotten together, but somehow you knew. You did not get together then. You just found your way back to each other later, which makes the story even better.
What I love about you is not only the love. It is how much you genuinely like each other. There is friendship under everything, plus heat, tenderness, laughter, and that unmistakable chemistry. The love and the life you have made together inspire me. Getting to know you both has become such a special part of my life.
Small confession: while you were telling me that story, I was secretly recording you. Not for blackmail, although the Parental Advisory label means I should probably keep my options open. I was saving it because I wanted to turn your story into a wedding song. I am very obviously not a professional musician, but with a little AI help and a few wildly talented friends, your late-night story became a track.
I hope it makes you laugh, maybe get a little misty, and mostly feel how loved you are. My wish for you is more of everything you have already built: more nights that go long, more friendship, more adventure, more ridiculous fun, more tenderness, and plenty more material to keep that advisory label accurate.
I love you both. I am so grateful I get to celebrate this with you.
All my love,
Erin
P.S. Still not sorry I hit record.
